I tried the Tuxedo Oreos from Pinterest. Mine turned out just like the picture! 🙂
I purchased all the ingredients at Walmart. Below is list of what you will need:
– 1 package of Double Stuff Oreos (I choose double stuff so the Oreo would hold the chocolate better).
– 1 package of Toll House White Chocolate Chips
– Edible sugar glitter and pearls (Baking aisle)
– Parchment Paper.
– Bake Sheet
If you have a double broiler, you can use it. I don’t have a double broiler, so I put 2 inches of water in a pot, then set a stove-top safe glass bowl on top of the pot. Make sure the water does not touch the bowl. Set the burner at low heat. Wait until the water is boiling, and then add the white chocolate chips. As a safety precaution, I used oven mitts, while stirring and melting the chips. The white chocolate chips should melt in two minutes or less. Stir frequently. Once the chips are melted, turn the stove off, and remove the glass bowl from the pot.
Have a baking sheet lined with parchment paper ready to go. The baking sheet will make the Oreos easy to transport. Now take the Oreos and dip in chocolate. I held the base of the Oreo dipped into the chocolate, and used a spoon to even out the access chocolate. After dipping each Oreo, decorated with the glitter sugar, pearls, or both. I used 1/8 tsp to help me sprinkle the glitter evenly.
Once each Oreo was dipped and decorated, I put them in the refrigerator overnight to set the chocolate.
This is easy to make, easy to clean- up, and will impress your guests.
