Life’s Too Short for Boring Hair

I have so many readers’ and instagram fans writing in about my hair and what I do to it. Well, for starts it is naturally this straight. I do not straighten my hair at all and usually after I go to the salon I get it curled and it stays curled for a few days afterwards. For the spring and summer season’s I always get my hair balayaged!

A lot of my followers always write-in asking me what exactly is balayage. Well, the reason I love balayage hair is my hair is really long and I don’t like going to the salon every few weeks to keep the color up because my hair is naturally really dark.
So I opted to try the balayage highlights, which basically means you only get the tips of your hair and never the roots highlighted. So when your hair grows out it looks naturally sun kissed. I absolutely LOVE IT. I only go to the salon about 2-3 times a year and the highlights stay in year round.
Usually when I go to the salon I’m there for three to four hours and that is enough for me because I do not like sitting that long. But for me the upkeep for balayage hair is so manageable and it looks great year round.
So if you’re like me and you don’t like going to salon all the time and keeping up with the upkeep definitely opt for balayage they also use a clay base to highlight your hair so I think it stays and keeps the color longer!
Have you tried balayage hair lights yet? Above is a photo of my hair right after my salon visit! What do you think of it?!
