I am a hair girl and if I am having a good hair day, I am having a good day! I have been watching the WEN by Chaz Dean info-commercials for a long time admiring all the models’ hair so when WEN was offered on QVC I took the opportunity to try it. Chaz Dean in Hollywood is known and his products have won many awards.
I chose Wen Cleansing Conditioner in pink jasmine peony. I was really excited that I had finally purchased Wen for my hair and was looking forward to the great results and great hair. It is designed to replace all your hair product, shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner and deep conditioner. That is why I paid $52.00 for a huge 32 oz bottle.
I read the directions twice because it tells you how many pumps to put in your hair according to the length of your hair. You only wet your hair a little and massage into hair. After massaging your scalp, rinsing, adding a half of a pump of Cleansing Conditioner for a leave in conditioner.
The first thing I could not get over was there was no lather! I know there is not supposed to be but it was weird and I felt like I was washing my hair in thick lotion. I followed the directions and kept rinsing my hair because I was not sure I got the product out of my hair. I was starting to regret buying this product and my only hope was a good blow out. Nope, that did not happen either because I could not get my hair to dry! I went back and looked at the directions again on the bottle to make sure I did everything correctly. I decided to put my hair up in a ponytail because I was busy with all the kids. I went to work with my hair half wet! The only good part about my WEN was the scent, but by the end of the day I did not want to smell pink jasmine peony anymore. I washed my hair that night with my regular shampoo and conditioner and could actually feel the WEN coming out of my hair.
Unless I did something wrong and did not follow the directions properly, I was not impressed. WEN by Chaz Dean was not a WIN for me.
