Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday is here, so that means it’s time eat, drink, and be merry all day.
Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday which is the start of a fasting period for Christians called Lent. Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday and it stands for a Carnival ending to the season or one last day of celebration or binge eating before beginning Lent, a 40 day fasting period. Depending on where you live there are special foods people eat to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Paczki (polish Doughnuts) Shrimp Po Boys, Beignets, and King Cake to name a few.
The Originals at the Magazine love to eat King Cake! What is your favorite Mardi Gras food? Comment below or share your Mardi Gras celebration of your favorite Mardi Gras fashion, food or celebration.
