Brittney’s Diary

Hi Originals,
So I don’t know if you know this about me but I grew up in a Children’s Hospital. I was diagnosed, released, and seventeen years later here I am.
I made it through one of the toughest times of my life. Going through an experience like that does not leave one without marks. Mine happen to be physical, visual, you can see them.
Recently, a few times actually and throughout my life, several people have looked at me and they see what I call my warrior princess marks as my deformities. Some people are very nice about it while others are not.

While each day is a battle, there has never been a moment that we are alone. We have the love of God and that gives us strength to get through each day and it manifests itself through friends, through, “coincidences,” through blessings. Life doesn’t come without challenges but you can make it! We can do it! We can pull through.
There is this song called “Hills and Valleys” by Tauren Wells that I have practically listening to nonstop. It is so good and encouraging!
I want to encourage you Originals. People might make fun of you because you look different; you are different from their perception of “normal” but I want to encourage you do not conform to their mold. Stay yourself, be who God created you to be. Your people will find you. You will have your own tribe, your friends! So stay Original. Everyone’s story looks different and you have to live your own!
As Ever,
Brittney
